In lieu of New Year’s resolutions, I’m listing some hoped-for changes toward more OPEN GOVERNMENT in our County:

Public status report by all elected officials, twice a year, followed by questions and answers.

Commissioners’ Court Agenda and minutes to be posted on the County web site. Also more detail as to who wants what and why from commissioners.

Make the budget available on the County web site, together with the current financial position.

Make public the makeup and progress of the four (4) citizen review committees working with commissioners’ court.
